Argonide Corporation is excited to announce and welcome Yuly Vesga as the company’s new Research Scientist. She was recruited to replace Tatiana Kaledin who, after 10 years with Argonide, will be retiring in March 2017. Yuly’s main focus will be to manage day to day operations of Argonide’s Bio Lab and assist Leonid Kaledin, VP of R&D, with the development of new technologies.
Dr. Vesga joins the Argonide team from the University of Central Florida located in Orlando, Florida. It was there that she worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Chemistry department while earning her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry.
Dr. Vesga has published numerous articles in the scientific community on the topic of Two-photon circular dichroism and has received the Chemical Physics Letters, Editor’s Choice Award on her article “Two-photon circular dichroism of molecular structures simulating 1-tryptophan residues in proteins with secondary structures”. She is also the recipient of Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award, UCF and the Outstanding Chemistry Seminar Award, UCF.
