Argonide Corporation is proud to announce that it has received NSF Protocol P231 Certification on their CoolBlue® Water Purifier System by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO).   NSF/ANSI 53 certification for our NanoCeram® branded filters are forthcoming.

Ray Knispel, President states “We have elected to certify our products through IAPMO due to their strong presence in the Plumbing and Mechanical Industry.”

The NSF Protocol P231 establishes minimum requirements for health and sanitation characteristics of microbiological water purifiers.  The requirements are based on the recommendations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Task Force Report, Guide Standard and Protection Agency’s Task Force Report, Guide Standard and Protocol for Testing Microbiological Water Purifiers.

NSF/ANSI 53 establishes the minimum requirements for the certification of POU/POE filtration systems designed to reduce specific health-related contaminants, such as Cryptosporidium, Giardia, lead, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) and MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether), that may be present in public or private drinking water.
