When this patented technology is incorporated into a pleated cartridge, the additional surface area which pleating affords results in a dirt-holding capacity far exceeding other filter medias up to 25 times greater*. In fact, the filter media in a standard NanoCeram^® cartridge can capture and retain an amount of particulate which is 3.5 times its own weight.
